GRIND Machine

The GRIND Machine passing distance will be set to pass to the high school 3-point line (around 19 feet) without any adjustments. A shorter or farther distance can be achieved, just reach out to our Support team and they'll share the steps to make the adjustments.

The GRIND Machine does not keep track of made and missed shots.

The GRIND Machine rotates manually and passes to 9 spots on the court. There is a small lever on the base that is used to change spots.

The GRIND Machine is powered only by a U.S.-standard electrical outlet (not battery-powered). In case you do not have access to an outlet, you can purchase a portable power supply that is compatible with the Machine - we recommend this one on Amazon, as the GRIND Team has tested it with the Machine, showing optimal performance results. On average, our tests showed that the recommended power supply lasts for about 1.5 hours, depending on the usage.

The Machine comes with a 6-foot, three-prong extension cord, but a longer cord may need to be purchased by a third party if your outlet is further away from this distance. We recommend at least a medium-duty, three-prong extension cord that is rated for outdoor usage.

The GRIND Machine can comfortably use two balls in succession to reach 1,000 shots per hour.

To do so, we highly recommend shooting one ball first and waiting until that first ball reaches the funnel of the Machine. This gives the Machine a fair amount of time between passes. The Machine doesn't have a "stopper" to hold and time passes, so the time between each pass is dependent on how the ball is rebounded.

It's a rebounding and ball-return system that catches your shot after each attempt and delivers the ball back to your shooting position. The "portable" distinction means it's lightweight, requires no permanent installation, and can be set up in home-sized spaces, such as driveways, garages, and small gyms.

Yes—it was designed with home training in mind. The compact footprint fits standard driveway and garage setups, it stores easily when you're done, and one person can set it up and run a full session without help.

Yes. The GRIND Machine works with outdoor hoops on driveway and patio surfaces. It's one of the most common use cases for home buyers.

Portable enough for one person to set up, run, and break down. Loading it into a truck or trunk may require two people, but the netting detaches from the base, making the heaviest piece about 40 pounds lighter for the lift.

We typically tell athletes to expect 500 to 1,000 shots per hour, depending on workout pace and how many basketballs you're using. Dead time between shots gets eliminated, so the math works in your favor.

Minimal. Setup is designed to be fast so it doesn't become a barrier to starting a workout. Most athletes are up and shooting in minutes.

bsolutely. There's nothing technically complicated about the training loop—you shoot, the ball comes back, you shoot again. The machine is as useful for a player learning their form as it is for an advanced shooter building consistency. For elementary-age athletes, we recommend lowering the pressure on the ball return so the passes come in softer.

Yes. One machine can run a station-based drill for a small group, cycling players through efficiently. It's not a substitute for a multi-machine facility setup, but it adds real training volume to small-group or individual sessions.
